County Inn the City was founded in 1991 by owners Larry Turk and Fergus O'Brien following a conversion of their 1891 Upper West Side landmarked townhouse. The business has since grown from one apartment to four with another on the way. Each is individually decorated and features a queen bed with a generously-sized living area, a private galley kitchenette, and private bathroom.
Our target market is the discerning adult traveler in search of a high quality yet less expensive alternative to hotels. We are located on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, a perfect place for one to experience New York City living in a desirable neighborhood, one not so far from the tourist attractions as to be considered inconvenient. Although we are more bed and breakfast than hotel, this is not the kind of accommodation where you will find cutesy decor and interfering hosts. Your self contained Upper West Side apartment is your own and you are free to come and go as you please.
